Kate Winslet reflects on the Ozempic trend sweeping Hollywood in her own words.
“The truth is, I don’t know what Ozempic is,” Winslet told The New York Times. “All I know is that it’s a drug or something like that that people are taking.” What that drug is and how it suppresses appetite When she heard from the reporter, she was horrified. “Oh my god,” she exclaimed. “This is terrible. Let’s eat something more!”
Ozempic is an FDA-approved type 2 diabetes treatment often used for weight loss. Celebrities such as Sharon Osbourne, Oprah Winfrey, and Amy Schumer have admitted to using variations of the drug.

Winslet added more wisdom to the conversation about weight and eating by admitting that she previously battled an eating disorder for a short time. She has spoken candidly about the scrutiny she has faced in the past for her work, particularly after co-starring with Leonardo DiCaprio in Titanic.
“I never told anyone about it,” she said of developing an eating disorder. “Because people around you are like, ‘Hey, you look great! You’ve lost weight!'”
“So compliments about looking good also have something to do with weight. And that’s one thing I can’t talk about to people. If I did, I’d pull it up right away.”

In 2021, The Regime actress told the Guardian: “When I was in my 20s, people used to talk about my weight a lot. And I was called out to comment on my body.” he recalled. “Well, that got me labeled as bullish and outspoken. No, I was just defending myself.”
“It was almost laughable how shocking the tabloid journalists were to me, how critical they were, how outspoken and cruel they were,” Winslet admitted. “I still didn’t understand who I was. They commented on my size, estimated my weight, and printed out the diet they thought I was eating. It was critical, frightening, and very upsetting to read.” ”

In an interview with PORTER last month, Winslet looked back on the industry and said it’s different than it was when she was younger. She said it’s great for her daughter that her expectations have changed. Mia ThreppletonAn up-and-coming actress.
