Haley rules out running as an independent or with No Labels

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley dismissed the idea of running as an independent or on a no-label ticket in an interview Tuesday.

haley asked on fox news If he is unable to win the Republican presidential nomination, will he give up on running as an unrepresented candidate, or will he ultimately support the Republican candidate, who is increasingly likely to be former President Trump?

“I’m a conservative Republican. I’ve always been that way, but the problem is now I’m saying if you don’t support Donald Trump, you’re a Democrat. That’s terrible and we can’t come together. “There is no way anyone can win a general election if that’s the case,” Haley said.

“Let me tell you, I’m a conservative Republican. I’ve said many times that I’m not going to run as an independent. I’m a Republican, so I’m not going to run as an independent, and that’s always been the case for me. It was,” she continued. “That’s what I’m trying to do. That’s my focus. What we wanted was to give people a voice. That’s what we’re going to do today.”

“Sixteen states and territories are going to vote. God bless America that we can do that. And we’re going to take it from there,” she concluded. Ta.

Super Tuesday will be Haley’s last chance to dig into Trump’s momentum in the Republican primary. The former U.N. ambassador only won the early nomination race in Washington, D.C., which featured names from both Republicans.

Ms Haley faces growing questions about her future path, including whether to pursue an independent or third-party bid. “Nikki Haley is definitely someone we’re interested in,” No Labels managing director Joe Cunningham told Fox News last month.

Haley has previously indicated she is not interested in running under a no-label system that calls for a bipartisan “unity” ticket that includes one Republican and one Democrat. The former U.N. ambassador recently told reporters, “If I were to do No Labels, I would need the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party can’t accomplish what I wanted to express.”

At the same time, Haley challenged Fox News’ Ainsley Earhart on Tuesday when asked if she would rally around Trump if he won on Super Tuesday.

“So, Ainsley, if I were to drop out of the race, it would be the longest presidential general election in history,” she said. “I don’t understand why everyone is so insistent that we have to follow Mr. Trump’s lead to remove me from this race. You know, all of these people are eligible to vote. 16 States want their voices to be heard. Let’s make their voices heard.”
