Former President Donald Trump has won Virginia’s Republican presidential primary, according to a US newspaper. Associated Press.
The Republican presidential nomination contests in more than a dozen states on Super Tuesday will help determine whether Trump, the clear front-runner, will become the party’s presidential nominee in 2024.
The 15 states voting for the Republican nomination on Super Tuesday include Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont and Virginia.
Before Super Tuesday, Trump had an overwhelming lead in the race for the Republican presidential nomination, while former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley had a disastrous run, winning only the District of Columbia’s Republican presidential primary. He had achieved great results.
