Hezbollah militants and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) exchanged rockets on Tuesday after a senior White House adviser visited Beirut in diplomatic efforts to quell the ongoing conflict.

The Israel Defense Forces announced that rockets were fired from Lebanon toward Israel in the areas of Manara and Kiryat Shmona. In retaliation, IDF jets attacked the southern Lebanese town of Taybeh, which the IDF said was being used as a Hezbollah launch pad to attack the Israeli city of Kiryat Shmona.

The Israel Defense Forces also announced that it had attacked a Hezbollah anti-tank missile base in the village of Ahrab el-Ruayzeh, where the launch took place in Kiryat Shmona.

And early in the day, IDF fighter jets attacked a Hezbollah military facility in the Divin district and a terrorist facility in Aita ash Shab, another village in southern Lebanon.
