ZeroEyes, an artificial intelligence (AI) weapons detection software company, has partnered with Fort Smith Public Schools in Arkansas to prevent potential firearm threats.
Our human-verified AI gun detection technology integrates AI with existing security cameras to detect firearms and address the company’s core mission of preventing mass active shooter incidents in schools. I am.
JT Wilkins, ZeroEyes’ senior vice president of sales, told Fox News Digital that he has one question about the system. “Is there a gun in this image?”

What is artificial intelligence (AI)?
Martin Mahan, assistant superintendent of public schools in Fort Smith, Arkansas, told Fox News Digital, “With this new partnership, these cameras will become a proactive tool in addressing threat mitigation.” Told.
“The first implementation of the five-year plan is an artificial intelligence camera system, approved by the board at its last board meeting on February 26th. , most, if not all, cameras will be available that are outward-facing,” he said.
Mahan added that Fort Smith Public Schools is equipped with different levels of security, but they are all reactive.

“We have many layers to help reduce threats to our schools…Recent developments around artificial intelligence camera systems are helping to create another level of safety for staff and students. It’s another level of mitigation,” Mahan said.
The district has its own police force, security measures in place near entrances and exits, integration plans to integrate families and students, and staff training to “stop the bleeding.”
Wilkins said the operations center is critical in adding context to alert situations and ensuring the appropriate response occurs.
“We’re not going to send in cavalry with Nerf guns or anything like that. They’re going to use other alarm mechanisms to let the school district know that there are… Nerf guns… things like squirt guns, squirt guns, airsoft guns. A non-lethal threat on campus… “Potential law enforcement response may escalate,” he noted.
