DJ LeMahieu (1 hit for 12 at bats this spring) and Giancarlo Stanton (1 hit for 13 at bats) were both hitless for 3 at bats, but Aaron Boone said he’s not worried about starting in the Grapefruit League. .
“I think DJ’s really good. G, I feel like he’s not chasing or anything,” Boone said. “They are very process-driven and want to work on certain things in the game, especially G.”
It caught my eye
Catcher Carlos Narvaez, who was added to the 40-man roster during the offseason, came off the bench Wednesday and hit a home run to the opposite field.
He is part of a quality catcher corps for the Yankees, which currently has five backstops on the 40-man roster.
