Oklahoma City Thunder center Bismack Biyombo took part in a scary moment Wednesday night while the team was on the road against the Portland Trail Blazers.

The 31-year-old appeared to collapse while standing in front of the Thunder’s bench in the second quarter. The game was delayed while Biyombo was being dealt with. A wheelchair was brought onto the court, but the veteran never used it. He was helped and headed to the locker room.

The team announced that Biyombo had no serious medical problems but did not return to the game.

“He’s fine. He basically just passed out,” Thunder head coach Mark Dazineau said. “He was laughing and joking in the locker room at halftime.”

Biyombo was selected seventh overall in the 2011 NBA Draft. He was traded to the Charlotte Bobcats, where he became a top rebounder but not much of a scorer.

He was eventually traded to the Toronto Raptors, where he had a 26-rebound performance in the playoffs against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
