President Trump did not sign the bill, refusing to participate in the debate because of his large lead in the polls.
Many of the former president’s previous challengers now include DeSantis, Sen. Tim Scott (R.S.C.), entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum (R.). , has chosen to support Mr. Trump after withdrawing from the presidential election.

In announcing the suspension Wednesday, Haley said Trump needed to “earn” the votes of his supporters.
