Orlando man fumes over $3 hash browns

An Orlando real estate agent was so furious that it cost him $3 each to order hash browns at McDonald’s that he created a viral TikTok video slamming the fast food chain.

Freddie Smith responded, CNN online news articles The film details the anguish faced by McDonald’s customers over soaring menu prices.

Mr Smith called on others to “start complaining” about the price hikes.

“You can’t eat enough McDouble and think, ‘This is kind of ridiculous,'” he says.

Smith said McDonald’s soaring menu prices were “an example of everyday items becoming unaffordable.”

“There has to be light at the end of the tunnel, and if there isn’t, what are we really living through?” he said.

McDonald’s restaurants are independently operated by franchisees, so menu prices vary depending on the store’s location.

McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski acknowledged last month that low-income customers are getting price hikes from his restaurants.

“Eating at home has become more affordable,” Kempczinski said. “The battleground is certainly low-income consumers.”
