The seat is held by outgoing Rep. Drew Ferguson (R-Ga.), who announced in December that he would not run for re-election after serving in the House since 2017.

In a post on Truth Social, President Trump said Jack, 36, is a “man of loyalty, honesty and integrity” and represents a “new generation of leadership.”

“Brian has always strived to accomplish great things for Georgia and our country, which is why I considered running to replace Drew,” Trump said. “I encourage Brian, a Fayette County native, to pursue his dream and run for Congress.”

Jack worked for President Trump’s 2016 campaign and served as White House political director during the Trump administration. He is an advisor to Trump’s 2024 campaign.

People familiar with this decision he told Politico Trump campaign political adviser Alex Latcham will take over Jack’s role as the liaison between Trump and Capitol Hill. However, Jack plans to continue assisting the Trump campaign in Georgia as an advisor.

Georgia’s 3rd Congressional District is strongly Republican, so it is very likely that Jack will win if he wins the Republican nomination.
