Emmer said Americans were ready to abandon ship when it came to Biden’s poor policies and criticized him for even mentioning January 6 in a partisan speech.
“Mentioning January 6th, right before the border crisis, violent crime, and rising food prices tells Americans everything they need to know. No one was fooled by his lies last night. ” Emmer continued, emphasizing that no matter how great Biden claims to be, Americans “know what they’re going through.”

When asked by host Mike Slater to deliver his own State of the Union address, Emmer said the State of the Union was “in trouble.”
“We have become all about politics and not policies that make Americans’ lives better. Make sure they are safe in their countries and communities around the world. And Mike, What I’m saying is, one, we’ve got to get this economy moving again. We’ve got to unleash American energy production again, like we’ve unleashed under the Trump administration. They don’t understand that it doesn’t affect the price of gasoline that goes into the United States. It literally promotes affordable energy and it drives America’s standard of living. So it unlocks America’s energy and it helps the South. Close our borders and make sure our enemies and adversaries understand what lines they cannot cross.
