Rudy Gobert seemed to hint Friday night that the Minnesota Timberwolves are in a bad situation.

With less than 30 seconds left in the fourth quarter, the T-Wolves led the Cleveland Cavaliers 97-96 and Minnesota had possession.

However, Gobert was called for his sixth foul of the night and was ejected early. However, he did not like the decision and informed referee Scott Foster.

Gobert rubbed his fingers together as he walked off the court, seemingly suggesting the referee had money for the game.

This resulted in a technical foul and the Cavs were awarded free throws. Darius Garland scored, and the game went into overtime, with Cleveland winning 113-104.

“Honestly, a technical foul 27 seconds into the game is unacceptable,” said Wolves assistant head coach Mika Nori, who was filling in for the sick Chris Finch. “That’s Rudy, but we’ve got to be smarter. He made the visuals automatically. He was obviously frustrated — so were both teams — but we’ve got to be smarter. .”

Gobert admitted it was a mistake to make that gesture, but said it was “the truth.”

Gobert finished his night with seven points and 17 rebounds.
