Disney’s ABC will partner with Chinese social media app TikTok for Sunday’s Oscars red carpet coverage.
Disney announces TikTok will sponsor ‘first-ever red carpet livestream’ according to to hollywood reporter.
This isn’t the first time TikTok has been involved with the Oscars. Two years ago, the Academy collaborated with a Chinese app to create online content for the 94th Oscars, including TikTok LIVE, exclusive behind-the-scenes and red carpet coverage, and an Oscars wrap-up video.

Vogue’s Anna Wintour recently announced that TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chu will serve as “chair emeritus” at this year’s Met Gala.

As reported by Breitbart News, a new bipartisan bill would require China’s ByteDance to sell TikTok within six months or face a ban from the United States.
Peter Schweitzer’s new book, BRude Money: Why those in power turn a blind eye while China kills Americans It delves into TikTok’s role as spyware for the Chinese Communist Party.
