Former President Donald Trump said he met with Laken Riley’s family backstage before speaking at a rally in Georgia on Saturday.

“I met her beautiful mother and family backstage,” Trump told the crowd in Rome. “They said she was like the best. For us she was always the best. They admit she was the best, and she was first in class. She was the best She was the best nursing student ever.”She was always the best.” She was the brightest light in any room, they told me. ”

He added: “She meant the world to my parents, sister and my entire family.”

Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student from Georgia, was allegedly killed by a Venezuelan immigrant who entered the country illegally while jogging on February 22nd.

Trump blamed President Biden for Riley’s death.

“Mr. Biden has instituted a formal policy that provides immunity from deportation for illegal aliens who enter the United States,” Trump said. “So when this monster showed up at the border, he was immediately released according to the program. That crooked Joe created it.”

He added that it was a “great honor” for Riley’s family and friends to be able to attend the vigil.

“They’re just incredible,” he continued. “The hearts of hundreds of thousands, and indeed millions, of Americans and people around the world are broken along with your beautiful heart. We share your grief. I share your sadness. Thank you, darling, thank you. Thank you so much.” Thank you very much. ”
