NBA odds, picks, bets for Sunday

The 76ers and Knicks have suffered major injuries to their star players, forcing the Atlantic Division teams to make adjustments for the playoffs.

The rivals meet at Madison Square Garden on Sunday night as the Knicks look to build on a strong effort Friday night.

Jalen Brunson returned to action for the Knicks after missing two games with a knee contusion and scored 26 points in a 98-74 victory over Orlando.

The win was also a little sweet for the Knicks, who had lost their first three games this season against the surprising Magic.

The 76ers are missing their top two players. Center Joel Embiid is sidelined with a knee injury, and guard Tyrese Maxey has missed the past three games with a concussion.

Philadelphia hopes to have Maxey back on Sunday as it looks to end a three-game slide that included back-to-back home losses to the Grizzlies and Pelicans.

The 76ers not only have the seeding right in this game, but they can also get some revenge. Philadelphia is 0-2 against the Knicks this season, losing at home by 36 points and 14 points.

Since ending January with nine straight wins, the Knicks have gone 0-5 in their last five games.

If the 76ers get Maxey back, it would be an incredible boost for an offense that hasn’t topped the 110-point mark in three straight games.
