A man was shot and killed Saturday by police responding to a report of shots fired at a hotel in suburban Denver, police said.
When officers arrived at the La Quinta Inn in Lakewood, they found a man with a weapon in the hallway, Lakewood police said in a press release.
Police said officers ordered the man to drop his weapon, but he refused and approached them.
