As the Associated Press, report Stone looked shocked when last year’s winner Michelle Yeoh announced her name. She hugged and kissed her husband Dave McCurry, then moved down the aisle to hug her co-star Mark Ruffalo and director Yorgos Lanthimos.
“I think I passed out,” she said backstage. “Yes, it was quite a shock. I feel like I’m still spinning a little bit.”
Stone hugged all five previous Best Actress winners as she introduced the nominees.
