Centenarian World War Two Vet To Be Married On 80th Anniversary Of D-Day: REPORT

Harold Terrence, a 100-year-old World War II veteran living in Florida, will marry his girlfriend Gene Swarin on the upcoming 80th anniversary of D-Day.

Both Terens and Swarin were widowed and raised in New York. This cheerful and active couple has been dating since 2021. They enjoy dancing and spending loving time together.

“Falling in love isn’t just for young people,” Swarin says. “We keep butterflies just like everyone else,” said her husband, who is 96 years old.

When Terens proposed a few months ago, he got down on one knee. “I felt like I had to help him, but he’s so macho,” Swarin later said.

“He’s the best kisser,” she added.

About her, Terens says, “I love this girl. She’s so special.”

After a commemorative ceremony celebrating France’s liberation from the Nazis 80 years ago, the couple will have an exchange wedding in France. The ceremony took place in Carentin-les-Marais and was attended by Mayor Jean-Pierre Ronneur, United Business Journal reported. state.
