Wade’s former law partner and divorce attorney, Terrence Bradley, admitted in court that he did not know the exact date Wade started dating Willis. Bradley also said under persistent questioning from Ashley Merchant, a lawyer for one of Trump’s co-defendants on the extortion charge, that he did not know the exact moment he learned of the relationship.
In early January, one of Mr. Trump’s co-defendants, Michael Roman, and his attorney, Ashley Merchant, filed court documents accusing Mr. Willis and special counsel Wade of having a romantic relationship. .

Roman is a former White House aide who oversaw Trump’s election day operations. Roman has pleaded not guilty to prosecutors’ claims that he was involved in an attempt to present a false electoral roll after the 2020 election.
