Joe Biden’s State of the Union address, which Mark Levine calls a “chaos” speech, was inflammatory at best and full of lies at worst.
Unlike his relentlessly attacking predecessor, Donald Trump, the president used his speech to portray himself as the greatest ally of marginalized communities with nothing but goodwill toward Americans.
“Joe Biden wants you to believe he went to see Nelson Mandela and went to prison. He’s a liar. Joe Biden wants you to believe he was a civil rights activist.” He’s a liar,” Levin says.
And this is proven by his well-documented past.
At the height of the civil rights movement in the early ’70s, Biden became a U.S. senator and befriended John Stennis, James Eastland, Herman Talmadge, and Robert Byrd, among others.
“All four were racist. All four filibustered the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and 1965,” Levin explained, adding. “And Joe Biden wasn’t just a friend of theirs. Joe Biden sponsored legislation to end public school integration.”
Biden has also come under fire for saying he doesn’t want to send his children to the “jungle” while advocating for an end to public school integration.
“He’s been making racist, bigoted, discriminatory statements right up until the election,” Levin said.
In 1994, Biden was the sponsor of a new crime bill that focused more on crack than on cocaine. Civil rights groups representing the black community believed he was intentionally targeting them.
“As a result of Joe Biden’s legislation, more Black people are going to prison as a percentage of the population,” Levin said.
And now Biden is delivering a “dark, boring, Castro-like speech filled with lies and propaganda, delivered in a sarcastic, sarcastic and angry manner.”
“America, we deserve better than this,” Levin says.
