The Cleveland Browns acquired Jerry Jeudy from the Denver Broncos in a blockbuster trade that became official Wednesday, and it appeared the star wide receiver took a subtle jab at his former team.

Jeudy faced criticism during his final weeks with the Broncos as the offense struggled and Russell Wilson was on the verge of being benched. He appeared in 16 games and had 54 catches for 758 yards and two touchdowns. He had nearly 1,000 yards receiving in 2022.

Now, Jeudy finds himself with Deshaun Watson at quarterback, Nick Chubb in the backfield, and Amari Cooper lined up alongside him. Cleveland made the playoffs last season with Joe Flacco as interim starting quarterback, with Chubb and Watson sidelined.

“I heard the Browns had interest in me for two years,” Jeudy said via the team’s website. “It’s a surreal moment to actually be here. So I feel like I’m in the right place because they’ve been trying to get me for a long time, and I’m wanted here. I feel that.

“As a player, you always want to be in a place where you feel welcome, you want to feel like home and you want to be wanted, so it’s great to have that feeling. ”

Jeudy said he feels he would be a great addition to a receiving corps that features Elijah Moore as No. 3 receiver and David Njoku as tight end.

Cooper led the team with 1,250 receiving yards and 72 catches. He scored five touchdowns. Njoku had 81 catches for 882 yards and six touchdowns. Moore finished third in receiving yards with 58 catches and two touchdowns for 640 yards.
