a utah couple was arrested after allegedly admitting to “having sexual intercourse” with her teenage daughter, and was charged with rape and other crimes.
On Thursday, Provo police received an alarming call. A 15-year-old girl called to report that her stepfather, who she later said had raised her “from the day she was born,” had been raping her for more than a year.
The stepfather and the girl’s mother, both in their 30s, approached the girl last year when she was 14 after learning she had started taking photos of herself and suggested they “have sex together.” .in a sexual situationAnd he posted those images on Snapchat and online chat rooms “because that’s what she wanted to do.”[ed] meeting and having sex with strangers,” the affidavit states.

The stepfather is even said to have had sex with the girl. His affidavit states that he and his wife “determined that teaching the victim about sex and having sex with the victim was safer than having sex with a stranger.”
Both men are charged with forced sodomy, object rape, and forced sexual abuse. The stepfather could face additional rape charges. They are being held in the Utah County Jail without bail because they pose a “substantial risk” to the other four children in the home.
It is unclear whether other children were similarly victimized. It is also unknown where these children currently live.
Media outlets are not releasing the suspect’s name to protect the girl’s identity.
