Former Rep. George Santos (R.N.Y.) says it’s “logical” that pop superstar Taylor Swift could support President Biden’s reelection bid because her songs ” “It’s about choosing the wrong man,” he said.
“@taylorswift13 appears to be endorsing @JoeBiden as presidential candidate,” Santos Posted on Platform X, formerly known as Twitter Saturday. “95% of her songs are about choosing the wrong guy, so I can see how this makes sense. I think we can expect a Taylor Swift revenge song against Biden in 2025… ”
Swift supported Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign but has not endorsed him in the 2024 election. The “antihero” singer has recently become the target of conspiracy theories on the right. The conspiracy theory focused on the idea that the NFL fixed games for Swift’s boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, so the couple could retire. Go to the Super Bowl and support Biden.
Earlier this month, Swift encouraged fans to vote on Super Tuesday through a post on her Instagram Story, saying, “I wanted to remind you to vote for the person who best represents you.”
“If you haven’t voted yet, please make plans to vote today,” she continued.
Swift then told fans to “check your voting location and times,” linking to Vote.org, a voting platform that Swift has promoted in the past.
Santos revealed in the video, where he is said to have a cameo, that Swift’s favorite song is “I Knew You Were Trouble.” In the video, he says that his favorite song by Swift is “definitely going to be ‘Trouble,'” an apparent reference to the popular song from Swift’s 2012 album Red.
