Christian Singer Anne Wilson Nominated for Major Country Music Award

Up-and-coming Christian artist Ann Wilson has been nominated for a major country music award.

He has won two Dove Awards, my jesus The singer was nominated for a CMT Music Award in the Breakthrough Female Video of the Year category for her song last week. Rain falls on the rear view. Others nominated in that category: Ashley Cook (your place), Britney Spencer (bigger than a song) and Tigirlily Gold (shoot tequila). The CMT Music Awards are presented by Country Music Television.

Earlier this year, CMT named her a member of the Class of 2024. CMT Next Woman of Country. 14 female artists were selected.

Her Instagram page showed her manager Matthew West breaking the news of her nomination. CMT Music Awards Chosen by fan vote.

“I’m so grateful for all of you and this opportunity,” she wrote.

Wilson’s unique blend of country music and faith-centered lyrics has made her a popular singer with both country and CCM fans. She won the 2022 Dove Award for New Artist of the Year and the 2022 K-Love Fan Award for Female Artist of the Year. She is currently nominated in major country music categories.

Wilson told Christian Headlines that his music is “a mix of Christian and country.”

“My heart is to continue doing Christian music forever,” she told Christian Headlines. “I love the Christian community and I love sharing Jesus with people. But I also feel called to take that message to the world outside of the Christian market. So I One of the ways that I feel so called to, just because my songs talk about the Lord, about the goodness of the Lord, about the Lord, is that the music sounds very country. And that appeals to other people as well, and it’s really fun to see how people from other genres who don’t listen to Christian music listen to my music, because they like how it sounds. Because of that, I feel drawn to that music.”

Wilson’s next album will be traitorreleased on April 19th.
