Police arrested a male student Monday after a brawl broke out at a local high school in New York City, the New York Post reported.
A 15-year-old student has been arrested after a brawl at school left four students with cuts. The altercation began early Monday morning on school grounds, according to the New York Post. As a result of the scuffle, an 18-year-old boy suffered cuts to his face and a 17-year-old boy suffered cuts to his mouth. They were immediately taken to a nearby hospital.
Two other students, aged 17 and 16, sustained injuries to their right hands but were treated at school without going to hospital. According to the New York Post, all of the injured suffered minor injuries.

“The safety and well-being of our students is our absolute top priority. According to the New York Post, our highly qualified school staff and New York City Police Department school safety officers respond to incidents between students at our schools. We responded immediately,” department spokeswoman Jenna Lyle said in a statement. “We will provide additional emotional support to students who need it.”
