President Donald Trump said Monday that Jewish voters, who continue to vote Democratic even after Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) called on Israel to oust its leaders, hate Israel and “do their own thing.” “I hate religion.”
About President Trump and Schumer:
“I think it’s more about voting than anything because he’s always been pro-Israel. He’s very anti-Israel now.

Trump has made similar statements before. In 2019, he said: “I think it shows either a complete lack of knowledge or great dishonesty for Jews to vote for Democrats.”
Mr. Trump was widely known to be one of Israel’s best friends ever in the White House, and to have accomplished many things. There was also no war against Israel by terrorist organizations during his term.
His efforts received relatively little appreciation from the Jewish community, with the exception of conservative-leaning groups such as the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) and the Republican Jewish Federation.
As Breitbart News reported, Schumer took to the Senate floor last week to criticize Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and call for new elections in Israel, which is in the midst of a war.
His call was echoed by President Joe Biden.
Jews generally support the Democratic Party, with a difference of about 70-80% for Democrats and 20-30% for Republicans.Jonathan S. Tobin in Jewish News Syndicate Notethat may change in 2024, but that would require liberal Jews to decide that the Democratic Party’s anti-Israel turn is more important than other issues.
