Chris Dingman, a family friend and spokesperson for the Strain family, told Fox that the 22-year-old’s cards were found Sunday under fallen leaves near Gay Street and the Cumberland River, where he was last seen. He admitted that the incident occurred on March 8th.

“Yesterday, we received an incredible lead from the dynamic duo on TikTok, and we are truly grateful,” Dingman said.

“And thank you to everyone who searched for Riley and tried to bring him home. They found this credit card. It’s very close to where his last cell phone ping came from. It was in place. Verified.”

Dingman said that after the TikTokers were discovered, they “immediately stopped broadcasting and contacted them.” At the time of the discovery, there were several police officers with canine teeth about 100 yards away.

A second card resembling a common access card (CAC) with Kayden’s name on it was also found, but it’s unclear if it’s related, Dingman said.

The discovery left Strain’s family with “a thousand more questions than answers,” but Dingman said he was grateful to the TikTok user who made the discovery.

Surveillance video last captured Strain near the Cumberland River, and a massive search using boats, K9s and sonar along the riverbank led to authorities wondering what happened to Strain. I haven’t gotten any clues.

Strain continued up the first street in the same direction, but there his tracks stopped. No other surveillance footage or cell phone activity will be available beyond that point.
