A new national poll finds former President Trump and President Biden tied, each receiving 44 percent support from voters.

6% said they would choose another candidate, and 6% said they were undecided, exceeding the same rate of 44%.
The poll comes shortly after Trump and Biden won enough delegates to secure their respective parties’ presidential nominations, signaling the start of the general election and setting up a rematch of the 2020 presidential election. .
More women say they plan to vote for Biden, according to poll results. He has 49.7% support among female voters, with 38.3% of female voters saying they support Trump.
Trump was popular among men. Just over half of the survey’s male respondents said they would vote for the former president, and 38.7% of male voters said they would choose Biden.
The poll found that Mr. Biden was more popular among voters over 65, while Mr. Trump gained more support among younger voters aged 18 to 34.
According to The Hill/Decision Desk headquarters, Mr. Biden is trailing Mr. Trump by a narrow margin. Based on 602 national polls, the former president’s approval rating is 44.9%, while Mr. Biden’s approval rating is 44%.
The Main Street Research survey was conducted March 15-17 among 1,053 adults. The margin of error is 3%.
