Fitness enthusiast Richard Simmons ‘not dying,’ faces skin cancer with grit and humor: ‘Don’t forget to pray’

Fitness enthusiast Richard Simmons reassured worried fans in a recent Facebook post that he was “not going to die”, but was diagnosed with a form of skin cancer that required several painful treatments. He admitted that he had been diagnosed with.

Fans first became concerned about Simmons’ health after he posted messages on multiple social media platforms announcing his “passing away.”

“I have something to tell you. Please don’t be sad. I…I’m dying. Oh, I can see your faces now. The truth is, we’re all dying. Every time we live… We are close to death,” he posted on X on Monday morning.

Thankfully, the 75-year-old “Sweatin’ to the Oldies” star just reminded each of us that we’re all going to die someday. “I am sorry that so many people are offended by my message today,” he wrote hours later. “Even the press contacted me. I’m not going to die. It was a message about how we should embrace each day as it is.”

Simmons breathed a sigh of relief in the subsequent message, but added that she had recently discovered a “strange looking bump” under her eye, which led to some disturbing news. ”[The doctor] I came back about 20 minutes later, says the C word. You have cancer,” Simmons wrote.

“Tears fell down my cheeks as he began to burn my skin. I shouldn’t have cried this whole time, but he wiped my tears away. It really hurt my skin.”

After two more excruciating burn treatments, doctors claimed they had “removed all the cancer cells”. Thanks to the doctor’s skill and an effective topical cream, Simmons said she is now scar-free.
