Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) said the America First candidate thoroughly defeated the Democratic incumbent in his victory speech after Bernie Moreno secured victory in the Buckeye State’s Republican primary. He sounded the alarm because he had defeated him.
Moreno defeated his primary challengers, state Sen. Matt Dolan (R) and Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose, in the primary and quickly set his sights on the general election.
Immediately after Moreno’s win, Brown reacted on social media.
“The choice before Ohio is clear,” Brown said. “Bernie Moreno has spent his career and campaign putting himself first, and if elected, he will do the same.” Didn’t show it.
“I will always work for the state of Ohio,” the Democrat insisted.

Moreno thoroughly criticized Brown in his victory speech, noting that the 71-year-old politician has been in political office since Richard Nixon’s presidency. He also briefly summarized how things have worsened under Brown’s watch.
“Under Sherrod Brown’s watch, China went from a $4 billion trade deficit with the United States to a $235 billion annual trade deficit. The country’s middle class shrank. [sic] “Under his watch,” Moreno began.
Under his watch we lost factories one after another. We are now witnessing the complete disappearance of regional banks, small banks, regional banks due to his leadership of the so-called Senate Banking Committee. It’s all happening on…Brown’s watch. This person is a supporter of free immigration. He is an open border radical. what does it do? Who does it hurt? It hurts the very people he pretends to help. These are the people who are squeezed in at grocery stores and gas stations every day. He’s all for this Green New Deal – where we all drive electric cars or have what he calls stoves and live in little cabins somewhere, while of course he – he’s on Martha’s Vineyard. This idea of hanging out with my friends. That’s the real Sherrod Brown.
Moreno acknowledged that Brown would get “all kinds of resources from all over America except for Ohio.”
His support in Ohio will be negligible. But they will have Big Tech. They’ll have Hollywood. They’re going to get Wall Street. They will have special interest groups, union bosses, not union members. Yes, members will vote for me because they know I will take care of them and make sure we have jobs here in Ohio. But union leaders signed it. And of course the entire media will support them. ”
But Moreno made it clear that the people support him and the America First movement. He also made it clear that he is proud to be associated with former President Donald Trump and is a firm supporter of him.
“Under President Trump, under President Trump, this country has become safer. It’s been safer. We’ve had prosperity all over the world. We’ve had generationally low interest rates, we’ve had lower inflation. “Under Joe Biden, everything is objectively worse,” he openly said, adding that Brown “honorably owns a 99 percent voting record with Joe Biden.” “I wonder if Joe Biden is the kind of person he would want to associate with.”
“Because I predict this: If Joe Biden gets into Ohio, Sherrod Brown will run out of here like a frightened cat. Right?” “He was an absolute pillar of Sherrod Brown.”
“So who does Sherrod Brown answer to?” He doesn’t answer to We The People. He’s answering Elizabeth Warren, yes. …He is literally her dog. She tells him to bark…he barks. That’s Sherrod Brown,” the Republican added.
