The Democratic front-runner in what could be one of the most-watched Senate races of the year uttered a racial slur during Thursday’s House Budget Committee hearing, which he said was unintentional. The person himself claims.
Rep. David Tron, D-Maryland, spoke during a hearing on tax policy with Shalanda Young, the director of the Office of Budget and Management, who was testifying at the hearing and dropped a derogatory term against black people.
“So the Republican jigaboos about tax rates stopping business investment are completely the fault of people who have never run a business,” he said. “They’ve never been there. They have no idea what they’re talking about.”

Reached for comment, Trone admitted to Fox News Digital that he had used the term, but that he had been trying to use a different word and had misspoken it.
“Today, when I tried to use the word ‘bugaboo’ at the public hearing, I used an offensive expression. This word has a long, dark and frightening history and should never be used anywhere, at any time, in any conversation. “Hmm,” Tron said.
“I recognize my privilege as a white person, and as an elected official, I am especially responsible for the words I use, especially in the moment. No matter what I mean to say. “I shouldn’t have said that either,” he added.
