Anti-Trump Republican group highlights Pence’s non-endorsement in new ad

Advocacy groups opposed to former President Donald Trump’s re-election are launching a six-figure ad campaign to publicize their decision not to support former Vice President Mike Pence’s former boss and two-time running mate.

“Republican Voters Against Trump,” supported by the Republican Accountability Committee, digital advertising and a billboard ad to highlight Pence’s refusal to endorse Trump in the November election.

“Mike Pence knows Donald Trump better than anyone. And he knows how dangerous a second Trump administration is. Mike Pence is putting country over party. And so do we,” the 15-second digital ad says, overlaid with footage of the two appearing together and footage of Pence saying he does not support President Trump.

The ad will run digitally for one week in the battleground states of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Billboards with Pence’s words that he does not support President Trump will be placed in major cities in the state, including Phoenix, Atlanta, Detroit, Grand Rapids, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Milwaukee.

After an unsuccessful primary campaign against President Trump that ended last October, Pence announced last week that he would not support his former boss. He cited the two countries’ differences over the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, as well as President Trump’s policy positions on abortion, government spending and the ban on TikTok.

“Look, I’m very proud of our administration’s record. This is a conservative record that has made America more prosperous, more secure, more peaceful in the world, conservatives appointed to courts. “Pence said. “That said, I made it clear during the presidential campaign that there are significant differences between me and President Trump on a variety of issues.”
