Laura Ingraham: The GOP is committing a slow suicide

Fox News host Laura Ingraham warned Friday that the shrinking Republican majority in the House could hand Democrats the gavel on the “Ingraham angle.”

Top Republican lawmaker announces early withdrawal, leaving Republicans with temporary one-seat majority

Laura Ingraham: It pains me to say this: Thank you, Mike. [Gallagher]. I hope future Chairman Hakeem Jeffries sends me a nice fruit basket today. Now, how do people interpret this move other than malicious, perhaps some kind of revenge plot?

Really? And do they think Trump is the problem? At least he will remain in the arena despite what they are doing to him. Although Mr. Trump is the party’s presumptive nominee, Mr. Gallagher – and I didn’t know this until today – will not even commit to attending the Republican National Convention in his home state. This summer will bring a huge amount of money to the state. He claimed there was much work to be done. Please give me a break. Well, since he quit, I think I’m free now. He pulled John Kasich, who also missed the 2016 RNC in his hometown of Cleveland. That was pathetic.

Now I’m in Washington and it’s depressing to report. But in 30 years, I have never seen what I am witnessing now. Everything in this country, the party with a slim majority in the House of Commons, is at stake. But it’s a slow suicide. By the way, this is why conservatives call the Republican Party the stupid party.
