Since the 1950s, cancer societies around the world have used daffodils to represent the prospect of brighter days ahead for those battling cancer. As one of the first flowers to bloom in spring, daffodils have long symbolized rebirth, renewal, hope, happiness, and new beginnings in many cultures.

HAE has been shown to inhibit the production of ribosomes, cells that make proteins that cancer cells need to grow and progress in the body.
