Ukraine: enemy in the forest
9pm, BBC Two
“I wish I could take a pill to erase my memory,” says Vovan, the Ukrainian unit commander. This extraordinary documentary follows the exploits of the Berlingo Battalion as they protect the railway line, closer to the battlefield than most of us have ever been, thankfully. It’s both revelatory and traumatic. Amazing footage of Russian soldiers being killed with improvised grenades, close-up battlefield triage, and endless gallows humor. phil harrison

Underdog: Josh must win.
9pm, E4
“They feel like reality stars we created in a lab.” Nick Grimshaw’s assessment of the vapid, mediocre cast assembled for a game show called The Favorite is fair. But there’s a twist. Josh is a token nerd. The only way anyone can get a share of the £10,000 prize is if Josh wins. In addition to Grimshaw, three other his reality veterans attempt to rig the game. It’s unbearable.
