A jealous ex-boyfriend shot and killed his Queens mother in a shocking murder-suicide after creepily warning her that “no one else can have her,” the devastated lover tells The Post. told.
Kenisha Morrison, 35, was a “beautiful, beautiful” girl. She was shot and killed Friday afternoon by her ex, Joseph Murphy, the father of her 11-year-old daughter, in her home in Jamaica, where the three had lived together for years after the couple separated. said her distressed boyfriend.
“He was one of those people who couldn’t accept it,” the boyfriend said on condition of anonymity. “Three weeks ago, the man told her that if he couldn’t have her, no one else could have her.
“I said, ‘You need to call the police,’ and she said no because she didn’t have papers,” he added of Morrison, who was born in the country of Jamaica. “She was afraid to go to the police because she was doing something illegal. She was afraid of her position.”
Morrison was found by NYPD officers next to the body of Murphy, 38, with a fatal gunshot wound to the head, her boyfriend said.

Her boyfriend was shaken by Monday’s tragedy and described Mr Morrison as “really sweet”.
“She’s a beautiful, beautiful girl,” he said. “I couldn’t stop crying.”
Mr Morrison told the newspaper that Ms Murphy had been with her new boyfriend for two years, but that in recent weeks Mr Murphy had become possessive and dangerously jealous.
“She wanted to get out of there and had just signed a one-year contract,” he said.
Minutes before the shooting, Ms. Morrison’s boyfriend was waiting in her car to take her to work, but she never showed up.
Jason Pakluk, 21, lives downstairs from Morrison’s apartment and said he heard an argument upstairs before the shooting.
“They’ve been living there for about six months,” he said, adding that the sounds of fighting were “definitely unusual.”
“Most of the time you could hear them playing loud music, but they weren’t actually fighting.”
Pakluk heard that Murphy had shot Morrison and then went outside to report himself to authorities before returning to his apartment and killing himself.
“Even from the outside looking in, they were very nice. This is definitely unexpected.”
Others who knew Mr. Morrison and Mr. Murphy were perplexed by the shooting.
“I’m speechless. I can’t fathom it. He didn’t seem like that kind of person. He was so proud of his family,” said Murphy, who worked for six months in 2022. said Tracy Carr, manager of the Queens restaurant.

The violent death shocked the neighborhood.
“I still can’t believe it. I’m waiting for her to walk through the door with a smile on her face,” said Roderick Campbell, a supervisor at the Fortis restaurant where Mr. Morrison worked.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s boyfriend said his daughter was not at home when her parents died and explained that her daughter is currently living with her aunt.
