England are bolstered by their big guns returning from the WPL and will have also been particularly pleased by the scintillating form shown by Maia Bouchier in the last game. important events
12 overs: England 89-1 (Bouchier 54, Capsey 23) The Capcy-Bouchier partnership now looks ominous for New Zealand. Capsey gets four with a lofted cover drive and works Amelia Kerr well in the remaining overs. News has come that Sophie Devine has indeed improved and will not feature in the remaining innings against England. It’s a real shame for her.
11 overs: England 81-1 (Bouchier 54, Capsey 14) Maia Bouchier hit her consecutive T20I fifty with a deft touch that sent Hannah Rowe to the ground and then four more reverse ramps.
10 overs: England 72-1 (Bouchier 46, Capsey 15) Sophie Devine left the field, but we don’t know why. I hope it’s not an injury and just a “comfortable” break. Jess Kerr was forced to the ground by Bouchier on a fourth-on-four and cut off his pad for a brace. Drop it! Carr spilled a simple return catch, but the ball burst through her fingers and came to rest at her feet. Boussier smiled with relief. I should have taken it. England set the platform and scored 72 from their first 10 wickets and nine in the bank.
9 overs: England 63-1 (Bouchier 38, Capsey 14) Fran Jonas is tipped offside by Capsey. Both batters showed good pitching by catching loose balls, rotating and getting single hits. Execution rate is increasing.
8 overs: England 54-1 (Bouchier 36, Capsey 8) Amelia Kerr pitched too hard and got smoked by Boussier’s cover. Another great stroke. The bowlers were struggling with the strong wind, but a short ball from Kerr was hit perfectly, and they got four more.
7 overs: England 43-1 (Bouchier 26, Capsey 7) Devine lost his run-up to the wind and dropped a half-tracker, but Boussier happily swung his body around and successfully brushed off four. England had the advantage, with both batsmen hitting quick singles and scoring eight runs.
6 overs: England 35-1 (Bouchier 20, Capsey 5) Fran Jonas joined the attack and with a useful first over from her, only 4 runs were collected. Sophie Devine will be giving herself a bowl in her next match, she used all her experience from her last match in Nelson to put pressure on England. It’s been a decent start for the home side, but England have been unable to escape.
5 overs: England 31-1 (Bouchier 19, Capsey 2) Alice Capsey appears in the first drop. Mare defends Honesty at 4 points, a couple are cut out at the last point and Capsy misses the mark.
Wicket! Wyatt C Gaze B Mile 9 (England 29-1)
Mair came back and fired one wide off the stumps, which Wyatt flicked to tickle the keeper. New Zealand did it for the first time.
4 overs: England 29-0 (Wyatt 9, Boussier 19) Bouchier is in bad shape and pulls Jess Carr to the limit all over the world.
3 overs: England 22-0 (Wyatt 8, Boussier 13) Hannah Rowe replaced Mair after just one over. She speared the ball into the middle of the pitch and was immediately greeted by Danny Wyatt’s disdainful pull shot. These four hits made Wyatt the highest run-scorer for England in T20I cricket, a milestone that secured him a milestone. Wyatt slams Rowe three more times on the leg side and Boussier finishes the over with a nice straight drive six times up and down the ground! This was a quick shot, so I’ll look for the clip on social media. i need you To have a gap in that.
Danny Wyatt is now England Women’s top scorer in T20Is, surpassing Charlotte Edwards’ 2,605 runs.#NZVENG https://t.co/UC3Z9Ys9z0

2 overs: England 8-0 (Wyatt 1, Boussier 6) Watery sunshine is shining down in Wellington right now as Jess Carr shares her new ball. She is full, direct, and precise. Over with just two singles. The pitch is greenish and there are signs of movement from both seamers.
1 over: England 6-0 (Wyatt 0, Boussier 5) Drop it!Maia Bouchier takes out her broomstick and plays a wide ball with her hands. miles away from her body. At first slip the edge went to Sophie Devine, but the New Zealand captain thought keeper Isabella Gaze would go for it and ended up flinching under the ball as it passed. She missed Boussier and England’s first boundary. Rosemary Mair scored 6 runs from the first over.
players come out to the outfield In the cold and bleak Basin Reserve. Maia Bouchier has moved up the ranks and will start the season alongside the returning Danny Wyatt. Wyatt was in the WPL but hasn’t played any cricket for the past month and was left slimy on the UP Warriors bench.
Thon up!

preamble
Hello. Welcome to the OBO of the 4th T20I between New Zealand and England from Wellington*.
Against Nelson on Sunday, a dramatic collapse from Heather Knight and a steely final over from White Ferns veteran Susie Bates helped New Zealand snatch victory and keep the series alive.
With a 2-1 win over England and two games remaining, can the visiting side correct the mistakes of the weekend and seal the series win? At 127-2, the match seemingly was in the knapsack, but somehow England conspired to lose. Needing just 29 runs from 29 balls (they had a buffer of 8 wickets), they fluttered and stumbled to 152-8, leaving them three runs short and sending the home team back into the series.
England have been strengthened by the big guns back from the WPL and will also be particularly pleased with Maia Bouchier’s scintillating form in his last match. The 25-year-old batter hit 11 fours and six on the fence, en route to winning the game (and winning the series) with a 71 off 47 balls. Her wicket in the 15th over caused the English willow to rot**.
