Donald Trump should proclaim ‘Christ is King’ with a Bible giveaway

Billionaires should give away their Bibles, not sell them. Especially on a day when social media stocks netted $8 billion in profits.

Donald Trump made a major blunder by teaming up with country singer Lee Greenwood to promote the “God Bless America” Bible. Mr. Greenwood reached a licensing agreement with Mr. Trump to sell Bibles using the former president’s name, image and likeness for $60 each. On Tuesday, they launched a website and released a promotional video featuring Trump.

By selling Bibles, Mr. Trump is justifying criticism that his political campaign is a fraudulent and religious racket.

The Bible contains the texts of the U.S. Constitution, Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence, and Pledge of Allegiance.

This is a really bad idea and really bad timing.

President Trump’s “Truth Social” app went live on Tuesday. Stock prices skyrocketed, Mr. Trump pocketed more than $8 billion, and all cash flow problems were resolved. Additionally, the judge reduced the ridiculous $454 million bail that New York Attorney General Letitia James had sought for Trump in his ridiculous legal pursuit of the Republican presidential candidate. This week, President Trump told the media that he would pay $175 million in new bonds in cash.

Despite all the political persecution, Donald Trump is blessed. He is now considered the favorite to regain the presidency. His financial problems are behind him. Atlanta District Attorney Fani Willis has been disgraced.

Now is the time to give away the Bible, not sell it. It’s terrible to see Trump trying to profit from Jesus and the Christian faith. He should shut down his website and hand out copies of “God Bless America” at all future rallies.

Trump then cracks open one of those Bibles and the first thing I want him to read is Matthew 19:24. Kingdom of God. ”

Wealthy people tend to focus too much of their energy on securing more wealth or protecting the wealth they already have. It distracts them from securing more righteousness and defending their spiritual values. They trust money more than God.

That is a mistake and a trap. We will all succeed. I know. We think we can buy everything we need. The truth is that everything we need is provided by God.

Trump isn’t entirely wrong here. If Americans studied and understood the Bible, they would be less likely to question the beauty and fairness of the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Declaration of Independence. They will cherish the founding principles of this country.

There is nothing wrong with bundling the Bible with this nation’s founding documents. Obviously, the Bible doesn’t need to contain anything. This is an independent document and does not require any endorsement or supporting documentation.

However, we live in a time when the very freedom to pursue Biblical knowledge is being undermined by a lack of Biblical knowledge. Politicians and institutions are enforcing laws, regulations, and standards that redefine the Bible as “hate speech.”

A desire for religious freedom and a belief in Christianity influenced the founding of this country.

Mr. Trump and other politicians recognize that many American evangelicals want to return to factory settings. This can be seen from the slogans being shouted.

“America First!” “Let’s Make America Great Again!” “Christ is King!”

Yes, “Christ is King” is the factory setting. The Founders designed a political system that reflected Biblical wisdom. Understanding the Bible is the best way to understand the Constitution.

By selling Bibles, Mr. Trump is justifying criticism that his political campaign is fraudulent and religious noise. He has to take down his website and hand out Bibles. He should also tell his supporters to stop comparing his own political persecution to the persecution of Christ. That’s another bad look.

As believers, we too should give Mr. Trump some respite. On Sunday, I spent most of the day reading the Bible and interacting with his X/Twitter audience about the politicized “Christ is King” slogan.

A wise respondent pointed me to Paul’s words in Philippians 1:15-18.

It is true that some people preach Christ out of jealousy or competitiveness, but there are also people who preach Christ out of good will. The latter knows that I am put here to defend the gospel, and I do so out of love. The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition rather than from the heart, assuming that they can cause trouble for me while I am in chains. But what exactly is that? The important thing is that Christ is preached in all ways, whether from false motives or with truth. And thanks to this I am happy.

Distributing Bibles would be a great way for Donald Trump to proclaim Christ as King.
