The top US commander said Israel has not received all the weapons it requested, in part because US President Joe Biden’s administration was not willing to provide at least some of the weapons.
“We have supported them with capabilities, but we haven’t gotten them everything they asked for,” said Gen. Charles Q. Brown, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
“Part of the reason is because they asked for things that we don’t have the ability to provide or that we don’t intend to provide right now,” Brown added while speaking at an event hosted by the Defense Writers Group. Ta.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant spent two days in Washington, D.C., this week, meeting with Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, in part to request additional weapons and ammunition for the continued fight against Hamas and Hezbollah. Ta.
