Hello, hello, hello and welcome to coverage of Leeds United’s trip to Watford. It’s all going rather well for the boys from Elland Road, having gone 13 games unbeaten in the league, 12 of those wins, overturning Leicester’s 17-point lead at the top in the process. Wild.

Meanwhile Watford have been doing what Watford do best: sacking the boss. Valérien Ismaël is their latest managerial departure, with Tom Cleverley in as interim – that’s one to make you feel old. Cleverley began his stint in charge with a 1-0 win over Birmingham but his first game at Vicarage Road isn’t going to be easy. Leeds won the reverse fixture earlier in the season 3-0 and Daniel Farke seems to love winning the Championship; he won’t settle for stopping at 13.

Daniel Farke asked about the 11th generation Welsh trio and how they are doing – “That’s sport, you have to deal with some disappointments.” He is more concerned about the injuries the team has, and today key players Willy Gnont and Ilya Gruev He is absent.

And it all ended at Ewood Park, Ipswich won 1-0 and went top of the Championship. Leeds must win tonight to get back into first place.

Here’s everything happening elsewhere in Champo. Ipswich are still 1-0 against Blackburn with not much time remaining.

Of course, it’s worth noting that Leeds’ line-up includes several names who have had heartbreaks during international matches: Joe Rodon, Ethan Ampadu and Dan James played in Wales’ play-off defeat to Poland, but James was absent in the penalty shootout. It’s certainly difficult to overcome, but both Rodon and Ampadu are a brilliant duo in the final half, with James scoring 12 goals this season. I’ll explain next.

preamble

Hello, hello and welcome to our coverage of Leeds United’s trip to Watford. Everything was going pretty well for the Elland Road natives, who went on an unbeaten run of 13 league games, winning 12 of them, overturning a 17-point deficit on leaders Leicester in the process. wild.

Meanwhile, Watford are doing what Watford do best: sacking managers. The recent departure of Valerian Ismael as manager, replaced by Tom Cleverley on an interim basis, makes him feel old. Cleverley started his tenure with a 1-0 win against Birmingham, but his first game at Vicarage Road will not be easy. Leeds came from behind to start the season with a 3-0 win and Daniel Farke seems to be loving their Championship win. He won’t be satisfied with quitting at 13.

Kickoff is at 8pm Japan time (BST, I can’t wait to see you boo). Please contact me with any thoughts, concerns, weekend plans, etc. cheers!
