“On Transgender Visibility Day, we celebrate the extraordinary courage and contributions of transgender Americans and our commitment to building a more perfect union in which all people are created equal and treated equally throughout life. We reaffirm our resolve,” the White House said in a statement. read.
“Today we send a message to all transgender Americans: You are loved. Your voice is heard. You are understood. You belong. You belong. It’s America, and the entire administration and I are rooting for you.” “Therefore, I, Joseph R. Biden, Jr., President of the United States, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do hereby declare as of March 31, 2024: Day of visibility.”

Former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy criticized Biden on his former Twitter account, writing, “Joe Biden just declared ‘Transgender Visibility Day’ on Sunday, March 31st. .I wonder how they came up with that day.”
Rep. Alex Mooney (R-Va.) echoed Ramaswamy’s sentiments, accusing Biden of a “coincidence of timing.”

“Joe Biden declared Easter Sunday ‘Transgender Visibility Day,'” Mooney wrote in X. “What a coincidence of timing! This is a direct attack on Christianity. Another attack on religion and tradition by this regime.”
Tennessee Republican Rep. Diana Hershberger called the announcement “deliberate” and “blatant disregard.”

“This is a direct attack on Christianity. It is clear that the left is determined to undermine our religion and traditions,” she wrote about X. “This is not just blatant neglect, it is intentional.”
Conservative commentator Benny Johnson shared a screenshot of the White House statement and wrote next to it, “What a slap in the face to all Christians in America…”
Biden has previously been criticized for his stance on LGBTQ+ and abortion issues, based on his status as a “devout Catholic” who regularly attends church. The White House also used the same term to refer to Biden’s pro-choice stance on abortion.
