Australia’s left-wing Labor government has joined US President Joe Biden in slamming “Transgender Day of Visibility” on Easter Sunday.
Foreign Minister Senator Penny Wong, the country’s first openly gay female MP, publicly affirmed this on behalf of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s government.
Their support comes despite Christianity remaining the largest single religion in Australia, with a total of 43.9 per cent of the national population identifying as a Christian denomination in the 2021 census.
The senator shared a photo of a transgender flag with blue, purple, and white stripes and declared on social media via X (formerly Twitter):

As reported by Breitbart News, US President Joe Biden issued an official proclamation on Good Friday declaring Easter Sunday 2024 as “Transgender Day of Visibility.”
“We honor the extraordinary courage and contributions of transgender Americans and reaffirm our nation’s commitment to building a more perfect union, where all people have equal rights,” Biden said in a statement. They are born and treated equally throughout their lives.”
