Amid backlash over the White House’s declaration of Easter Sunday as Transgender Day of Visibility, FOX News Digital highlighted LGBT holidays celebrated throughout the year, including on a handful of holidays recognized by the White House. Found an extensive list of holidays.

The Biden administration has a long history of promoting and supporting the LGBT community, with the president hosting the largest Pride celebration in White House history last year, according to Reuters. Biden has repeatedly pledged to fight discrimination against the gay community and voiced his support for the trans community in his State of the Union address earlier this month.

The White House has faced criticism from critics in the past for events promoting the LGBT community. Among them was last year’s Pride event at the White House, where a transgender model and activist took off her top to cup her breasts and invited antisocial groups. Republicans continue to criticize the Biden administration online for celebrating the holiday on the same day as Easter.
