Three girls are accused of severely beating a disabled man and leaving him dead in a Washington, D.C., alley last year. The three reportedly walked away from the “horrifying” assault in a “celebratory mood”.
Last week, a 12-year-old girl and two 13-year-olds were arrested in connection with the assault of a disabled man on October 17, 2023.
Prosecutors said graphic video exists of the girls brutally attacking 64-year-old Reggie Brown.
Detective Harry Singleton said the assault was initiated by an unknown man in his 20s. The man reportedly grabbed Brown around the chest and threw her against a brick wall.

The girls reportedly chased Brown down an alley. Brown allegedly tried to escape by climbing a chain-link fence, but the girls pulled him down and threw him to the ground.
Authorities said the girls repeatedly kicked Brown in the head and stomped on him on the concrete. The girls reportedly pulled down Brown’s pants, removed his belt, and then hit him with their own belts.
Brown was bleeding profusely from the head when the girl yelled, “It’s leaking!”
WRC TV The girls reported that they “seemed to be in a celebratory mood as they left.”
A detective who viewed the video described the attack as “horrifying”.
Brown was found dead on the road around 1 a.m.
Law enforcement said Brown did not know his assailants.
Brown had a metal plate implanted in his head and was disabled with only two fingers on each hand. He also had mental health issues.
Brown’s family said he “never caused anyone trouble.”

Reggie was a man who kept to himself. He grew up in the Brightwood area for his 64 years, so he never bothered anyone and was well known in the area. At the Emery Recreation Center everyone knew him and he was well respected as completely harmless.
Brown’s niece said: “My uncle really didn’t deserve this. He’s been known in this area for years and for this to happen where he’s lived for 64 years.” Ta. [years] It’s insane. They must be held accountable! ”
Metropolitan Police Department announced A 13-year-old girl was arrested Thursday and charged with second-degree murder. A 12-year-old and a 13-year-old boy were arrested Friday and both were charged with second-degree murder.
Shortly before 4 a.m. Friday, a 12-year-old girl was reportedly shot in an apartment about a half-mile from the fatal assault. The girl was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police did not say whether the gunshots came from inside or outside the apartment.
A spokesperson for the D.C. Attorney General’s Office said, “Under D.C. law, children under the age of 15 cannot be prosecuted as adults. The maximum sentence for juveniles who are not charged as adults is to serve time in the Department of Juvenile Rehabilitation (DYRS). “That is true.” I’m 21 years old. ”
