Alabama State Police found a gun On Sunday, a large amount of cocaine was discovered in a woman’s mobile home following a tip.
The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that a “reliable” and “confidential” source told them Tierra Tocora Hill, 35, was in possession of drugs at her Harvey Court home. did. Police monitored her home and initiated a traffic stop after witnessing her leaving in her vehicle.
They searched her car and found they are said to have found 1.5 kilograms of cocaine, several marijuana plants, and a handgun.
Police later searched her home and found the three-year-old carrying two kilograms of cocaine in a blue Nike backpack. They also found three children in the home, ages 8, 10 and 15, as well as a black backpack containing one kilogram of cocaine and two more handguns.
“I think it’s an overstatement to say she made a bad decision, for example. I think she made a deliberate decision,” Mobile County Sheriff Paul Birch told WKRG-TV.
Police said there were no other adults in the home and the children had access to drugs and guns.
“I think she made a conscious decision to drive around with a lot of drugs and firearms in her car and then unintentionally leave her kids at home with even more cocaine and drugs. “It was a deliberate action and not a bad decision,” he said. Added.
Police estimated the total value of the cocaine found at approximately $450,000.
“It’s ridiculous how reckless this situation was. There was a complete disregard for the law and the welfare of the children,” Birch said.
“It’s safe to say that the 3-year-old probably didn’t have any drugs in his backpack. A kilogram is 2.2 pounds and we commonly refer to it as a brick, so it’s safe to say he probably didn’t have any drugs in his backpack. “It will be,” he added. My 3 year old is wearing it. ”
Hill was charged with four counts of chemical endangerment of a child, second-degree possession of marijuana, trafficking in cocaine and tampering with physical evidence. Police said she could face additional charges.
“It’s absolutely alarming that a mother would allow her children to be exposed to something like this. She has to meet with a judge before bail is set, but I don’t know if she’s going to allow her children to be exposed to something like this.” What St. is asking is that she must remain in prison until her trial begins. She exposed those children to a very dangerous situation.” Added Sheriff Birch.
“We will never stop fighting violent crime and drug traffickers in Mobile County,” he concluded.
