Oklahoma city council member recalled for connection to white supremacist group

Voters in the northwestern Oklahoma city of Enid ousted a city council member with ties to white supremacy, according to unofficial results posted Tuesday on the Oklahoma State Board of Elections website.

In Enid’s 1st Ward, all four precincts have reported, and results show voters chose to recall 42-year-old Judd Blevins. Instead, they chose her grandmother, Cheryl Patterson, a longtime youth leader at a local church, to fill the seat.

Blevins, an Iraq war veteran, was narrowly elected to the seat last year despite his ties to white supremacist groups.

Blevins acknowledged at a community forum last week that he attended a 2017 “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. He also admitted that he had ties to the now-defunct white supremacist group Identity Evropa.

When asked at the forum to explain his involvement in the rally and his relationship with Identity Evropa, he replied: “The same issues that got Donald Trump elected in 2016: securing America’s borders, reforming our legal immigration system and, frankly, bringing attention to these issues.” In Media Entertainment Push back against this common anti-white hatred. ”
