‘I’ve been Cottonelle-ing My Body’: Christina Applegate Admits She Can No Longer Shower Amid Battle With MS

Christina Applegate has admitted that she can no longer take a shower due to the severity of her MS.

‘Married with Kids’ star spoke candidly about Jamie Lynn Sigler’s latest episode Podcast “MeSsy” She opened up about the “painful” flare-ups she’s been experiencing. Applegate’s feet hurt so much that she couldn’t shower or bathe for three weeks. “I need to buy some stock in Cottonelle,” she joked, trying to add some humor to her conversation.

The “Dead to Me” actress explained: There’s no crazy way. ”

Applegate said she tried several solution-based ideas for getting in and out of the shower, but has since abandoned them and found other ways to cleanse herself.

“I have a very small bench, but my butt has gotten so big lately that I can’t sit on it. I feel like I’m going to slide off of it,” she said on the podcast. “So I’ve been cottonelling myself.”

Applegate admitted that she “doesn’t have the energy” to push her body beyond its limits.

“The legs are just done. They’re not getting circulation. We can’t make them stop hurting,” she said. As for her lower extremities, the actress has been experiencing “unusual tingling, like a weird tingling coming out of her buttocks and below.”

Applegate says she “almost falls” when trying to do something as simple as walking to the bathroom.

The famous actress said she also feels pain in her eyes.

“The reason I haven’t slept in 24 hours is because my eyes are doing weird things. Every time I close my eyes to go to sleep, my right eye starts moving,” she said.. (Related: Christina Applegate gets visibly emotional during standing ovation during MS battle, video show)

Applegate said her condition has gotten so bad that she no longer interacts with anyone except her 12-year-old daughter, Sadie. She said Sadie made it clear to her that her bathing situation needed to be resolved.

“[She’s] I always say, “Oh, Mom, that’s bad.” I make her smell her underarms just to make her gag,” Applegate said.
