The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation after a resident discovered a human leg inside a community park.
Officials said the foot was found just before 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, at Warnimont Park, “in or near water” along Lake Michigan on the east side of the golf course, near the pump house.
Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy James Barnett told Fox News Digital that authorities are investigating the severed leg as a homicide. He said those involved were in custody.
Barnett said the Milwaukee County Dispatch Center was alerted to the discovery of a human foot when a patron walking in the park reported the grotesque discovery.

A human foot was found in a Wisconsin park in what investigators are calling a “suspicious death.”
John Hemmer, a frequent visitor to the park, told Fox 6 that the discovery was very concerning.
“I’m very shocked. This is a very quiet area,” Hemmer said. “It’s just amazing. Something so heinous could happen in such a quiet place.”
The park is located in Cudahy, Wisconsin, a small suburb about 8 miles southeast of downtown Milwaukee.
Concerned residents are wondering how this happened and where the feet came from.

“We come here often and consider it a safe place for our family to go for walks, so it’s very shocking to hear something like this,” said Eric, another park visitor. Rackstadter told FOX 6.
Despite the horrifying discovery, Ruckstadter told Fox 6 it doesn’t mean she’ll stop going to the park, but she’ll always be aware of her surroundings.
“As long as there are other people around, which is often the case, I will feel safe,” he said.
Barnett said there is very limited information he can share at this time so as not to confuse the investigation, but he can confirm that the foot is human.
