America is in a Cold War, according to Vivek Ramaswamy, who may get a chance to serve as President Trump’s running mate.
“We’re in a sort of Cold War in this country. I don’t use that term lightly,” he tells Dave Rubin.
He gives two reasons to support this claim.
First, “Right now, the fundamental worldviews of both sides are incompatible. Either you believe in strength or you believe in group quotas. Do you believe in free speech or do you believe in censorship?” Either you believe that nations have borders, or you don’t. You either believe in American exceptionalism or you don’t,” he explained, adding, “It’s both. “You cannot have both at the same time,” he added.
The second reason is that the left is “weaponizing the basic rules of the road, including the financial system, the judicial system, the judicial system, the operation of the political system, and even the electoral system.” This means that the party is “rather using force.” Rather than free speech and open debate to solve problems. ”
Although the United States is not technically in a state of civil war, whispers of certain red states going their own way are beginning to grow louder.
“Let’s say Texas is doing what it’s supposed to do to secure its borders, and let’s say Florida is cooperating as much as it can…I think you’re okay with that,” he said. Assuming that it is “incorporated”? Dave asks.
“I don’t want the fate of this country,” Vivek replies.
“When I say we’re in the middle of a war in this country, I still (thankfully) use it figuratively.” But “we need to pivot to become one nation again.” Have to. E pluribus num — From many people, one — I think that possibility still exists in this country, but I don’t think it will exist for very long. ”
do you agree? Is America’s metaphorical civil war on the brink of becoming an actual civil war? Let us know in the comments section below.
