Roman Reigns and The Rock reminded Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40 on Saturday night how steep a mountain it is to reach the top of WWE.
The Rock nailed Rose after thanking The Bloodline and trash-talking Rose’s mother.
It wasn’t an easy match for The Bloodline. It turned into a full-on slobber knocker.

There were bets on this match for the second night. If Reigns and The Rock win, the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship match will be contested under Bloodline rules. If Rose and Rollins win, no members of Bloodline will be involved in the match.
After a dramatic start, Reigns and Rollins locked up to begin the match. Rose also locked up with Reigns for a while before The Rock was tagged in.
The Rock, making his first appearance in a WWE ring in eight years, faced Rollins. The Rock hits Rollins with a clothesline and calls for Rose to get in the ring. Rose tags in and it’s on.
Rose and Rollins gained an early advantage and worked together to keep The Rock and Reigns in check. Both teams glared at each other and a scuffle began. Rose targets Reigns and Rocky faces an attack from Rollins.

The brawl between Rock and Rollins continued all the way to the stands. If The Rock tried to count the referee out, he threatened to fire him. Meanwhile, Rose tackled Reigns near the top of the entrance. Rollins thought he had a match with The Rock in his hands, but Reigns appeared out of nowhere and took out Rollins’ knee.
“The Visionary” seemed to be in real pain and Rock started working on Rollins’ knee. Reigns tagged in to continue what his partner started. The Bloodline members controlled Rollins for a while, targeting not only his knees but also Rollins’ bad back.
Reigns stalks Rollins and goes for a Superman Punch, but Rollins counters with a neckbreaker. Rock was tagged in and stopped Rollins from doing the same. However, Rollins finally caught the break with a step-up enziguri. Just as Rollins was about to tag out, Reigns punched Rose and knocked him off the apron.

The Rock appointed Rollins as the sniper. Rose came out of nowhere and slammed The Rock. Rollins took advantage of that and hit The Stomp. Rollins finally reached Rhodes and The Rock reached Reigns. Rose began to build up his momentum.

Just as Rose went for Cody Cutter again, Reigns stopped the momentum with a Superman Punch. Reigns was busted in the open, a rare sight for a champion who has been dominant over the past few years. He aimed his spear but missed.
Rollins tags in and gets a near pinfall on Reigns after a splash. Reigns was kicked out. Rose and Rollins hit Reigns with a superkick and it looked like they were going to take control. Rose hit the Cross Rose, but when the referee was about to count to three, The Rock pulled the referee up.
The “final boss” wielded power, and the bloodline took advantage of it. Reigns speared Rose but kicked her over the pin.
The Rock goes for the People’s Elbow, but Cody Cutter blocks it. Rose aimed for Crossroads. But Reigns saved The Rock with a Superman Punch.
Reigns completely deadens Rose with a Spear setup. However, Rollins pushed Rose away and Reigns hit The Rock with a spear. Rose and Rollins simultaneously achieved their competitor’s pedigree with his 1, 2, and almost 3. The audience was stunned.

The match goes outside the ring again. The Rock brought Rose to the announce table. Rose hit rock bottom at the announce table. Reigns then speared Rollins into the barricade. Reigns and Rose continued. Gladiator vs gladiator.
Rose hit Reigns with two cross roses, but The Rock hit him with the weight belt. Reigns hit Rose with a spear. The Rock was tagged. The Rock hits a Rock Bottom, setting him up for the People’s Elbow.
The Rock led Rose to the victory.
Sunday’s match between Rose and Reigns will be played under pedigree rules.
